Freshman Finish Season 8-1

The year ended with a 14-0 victory over Pecos in Pecos on Nov. 8 for the Freshman Loboes.

The team had a great year. The only blemish was a loss to the Frenship JV sophomore team in Frenship.

"This was a great year for this bunch of young men. They played some very good football all year and set the foundation for a successful run through their high school careers. I want to thank Coach Gilliam and Coach Golson for all their hard work and dedication to the program here at Monahans High School. They gave these young the leadership they needed all year," said Coach David Burnett.

"I think these young Loboes worked hard and had a lot of fun this year, and that work led to a very successful season. I also want to thank the parents for all their support and hard work following these young men.

"If we can keep these young players together and headed in the right direction, the future looks bright for Monahans Football."
