First Six Weeks
4th and 5th Grade - "Mixed Up Animals"![]()
Study and review adaptations and body parts of the world's animals. Create an
animals of your own, describe its adapted body parts and create a picture and
poem to feature this unique creature.
6th Grade -"How About Those Microbes"

Go into the world of microscopic organisms. Study their growth, parts and watch how they reproduce by culturing items around the school.
Second Six Weeks
4th
and 5th Grade- "Stamp My Passport, Please"
Take a trip around the world and visit some of the most interesting places known
to man. Learn about different cultures, beliefs and clothing styles.
Create paper dolls to remember the places you visited.
6th Grade- "Walk Like an
Egyptian"
Continue classroom study of Egypt by going
into the myths, superstitions, mummification process and pyramid building. make
your own mummy and build a pyramid from sugar cubes.
Third Six Weeks
4th, 5th and 6th Grade-
"What's the News?"
Interview students and teachers, take pictures
and publish a newspaper of Sudderth's events.
Fourth Six Weeks
4th, 5th and 6th Grade-
"Math Quest"
A stimulation game that will help improve your
problem-solving skills. Your team will travel through four dangerous lands as
you attempt to reach the treasure chest found in Numberland.
Fifth Six Weeks

4th and 5th Grade "Take a
Tour Through the Planetary System"
Study the planets and moons as you create a
power point presentation of professional quality. Completed presentation will be
available to view on the Sudderth Website.
6th Grade- "View the Cosmos
thorough Telescopic Eyes"
See stunning photos of the universe taken by
the NASA telescopes Hubble and Chandra. Learn more about these inventions
and create a power point presentation depicting some of the best creations the
universe has to offer.
Sixth Six Weeks
4th, 5th and 6th Grade- "Up,
Up and Away"
Study the science of aerodynamics. Follow the
history of flight from the Wright Brothers to present day shuttle system. Have
paper plane competitions and test the best rockets to launch.
Sixth Grade G/T students will be
trained early to assist with 6th grade dissections day.
