The Lone Star Luncheon will be held in May.

The exact details will be announced at a later date.

Students who have read and passed the AR tests for at least 5 books from the Texas Lone Star List during either the 1st or 2nd semesters will be invited to attend this luncheon. We will also be sharing information about our favorite books during the luncheon.

AR Testing Periods – 2009 - 2010

First 6 Weeks	August 23rd - September 29th
Second 6 Weeks	September 30th - November 3rd
Third 6 Weeks	November 4th – December 15th
Fourth 6 Weeks	December 16h - February 16th
Fifth 6 Weeks	February 17th - April 13th
Sixth 6 Weeks	April 14th - May 25th

Read Like a Rock Star!·

· Earn AR points!

· Win prizes!

Play games!

· Students who earn at least 30 AR points during a 6 week grading period will be invited to the library to celebrate with snacks and games including Rock Band. Then their names will be entered into a prize drawing for that grading period.

· If you are named the most improved reader in your reading class for the 6 weeks, you may come by the library to choose an item from the AR store. You may also receive an additional prize if your name is drawn at the end of the semester.
