Visitor Check-In System

In order to provide a higher level of safety and security for our students and employees:

  • All visitors to all campuses will be required to present valid state-issued identification such as a driver's license.
  • The visitor's identification will be entered into a visitor management system, which will be cross-referenced with a national database of registered sex offenders as well as any court orders provided to the District to protect students.
  • If there is an alert by the management system the visitor will be denied access to the building
  • Visitors cleared will be issued a visitor's pass, which will include a picture of the visitor taken from the state-issued identification, as well as the location(s) in which the visitor has been authorized to visit.
  • The state-issued identification will remain with the campus ' check-in personnel until the visitor is prepared to exit the building, at which time the visitor will exchange his/her visitor's pass for the retained state-issued identification

 

Parents/guardians who are simply "dropping -off items to be delivered to their students by campus personnel will not be required to participate in the visitor management system. However, if an individual is picking up a student from the campus prior to dismissal time, he/she will be required to provide a state-issued identification for verification through the visitor management system.

Please be assured that this procedure is not meant to restrict access to our schools by parents and community members. Rather, they are proactive measures aimed at safeguarding our students and staff
