Monahans – Wickett – Pyote ISD will no longer be accepting cash for the purchase of tickets for any MWPISD sporting event. You will be able to pre-purchase tickets with a debit/credit card through the HomeTown Fan APP, the MWPISD online ticketing system on the district webpage or at the gate. No cash will be accepted at the gate.

UIL noisemakers policy varies by sport and venue; while artificial noisemakers like air horns, whistles, and drums are generally prohibited at UIL athletic events, some sports, particularly football and baseball, may allow homemade, non-amplified items like cowbells, shakers, clappers, or inflatable thundersticks, but rules must be checked for the specific event and sport. Indoor events, such as those held in gymnasiums, typically prohibit all artificial noisemakers, including cowbells.

General UIL noisemaker policy:

Artificial noisemakers are not allowed: in stands at most UIL events.

Prohibited items: include air horns, whistles, propane tanks, drums, and any items intended for percussive noise.

Homemade noisemakers: are sometimes permitted, but must not block views or be considered good sportsmanship.

Examples of permitted noisemakers (sport/venue dependent):

Handheld cowbells

Shakers

Clappers

Inflatable thundersticks

Homemade noisemakers (e.g., jugs with beads)

Examples of prohibited noisemakers: Handheld air horns, Whistles, Propane tanks, Drums or drum-like instruments, and any items to create percussive noise like sticks or buckets
