Our Mission

The Monahans-Wickett-Pyote ISD Special Education Department is committed to ensuring that every student with a disability receives meaningful access to a high-quality education through individualized supports, services, and opportunities. We partner with families, educators, and community stakeholders to remove barriers, build independence, and empower students to achieve their highest potential academically, socially, emotionally, and functionally. Through a student-centered approach, we strive to ensure that all students are prepared for successful transitions to further education, employment, and independent living.

Our Goals

GOAL #1 Student Achievement and Individual Growth – Monahans-Wickett-Pyote ISD Special Education will collaborate with students, families, staff, and community partners to provide individualized supports and services that accelerate academic achievement, functional performance, and postsecondary readiness for every student with a disability.

GOAL # 2 High-Quality Programs and Services - Monahans-Wickett-Pyote ISD Special Education will ensure that every student receives specially designed instruction, related services, and accommodations aligned to their unique needs while promoting continuous growth in academic, behavioral, communication, social-emotional, and independent living skills.

GOAL #3 Safe and Supportive Learning Environments  - Monahans-Wickett-Pyote ISD Special Education will ensure that students, families, and staff experience safe, supportive, and responsive learning environments that promote positive behavior, emotional well-being, and student engagement.
